Tribeca’s much-loved Storytellers series is back with live, in-depth conversations featuring bold and influential voices from film, television, music, and more. Sit down with Oscar winner Sean Penn and CNN’s Kaitlan Collins for a timely discussion on activism, storytelling, and global impact, exercise your funny bone with comedian and actor Jim Gaffigan, or get the inside scoop on how one of TV’s longest-running series stays fresh during a chat with Grey’s Anatomy star and executive producer Ellen Pompeo, presented by City National Bank. Nostalgia meets inspiration with our Reunions and Retrospectives lineup, where we’ll be celebrating milestone anniversaries of some of the film industry’s most enduring work. Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Casino with a special screening presented by City National Bank, followed by a conversation with Tribeca Festival Co-Founder Robert De Niro and director Martin Scorsese, moderated by W. Kamau Bell. De Niro will also be joined by Meet the Parents producer, fellow Co-Founder, and Tribeca CEO Jane Rosenthal, as well as his co-star Ben Stiller, to celebrate 25 years of the beloved family comedy Meet the Parents. Fresh off her stay at the White Lotus, Parker Posey will be joining us to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary mockumentary Best in Show, presented in partnership with Purina, alongside the film’s groundbreaking director Christopher Guest, and all-star cast members Jane Lynch, John Michael Higgins, and Michael McKean, moderated by Stephen Colbert. Other anniversary screenings include a 25th anniversary screening of Requiem for a Dream, followed by a conversation about the film with director Darren Aronofsky and Ellen Burstyn, 35 years since the the seminal queer documentary Paris is Burning, and a tribute to 60 years of The Doors with a screening of the Emmy-nominated documentary When You’re Strange: A Film About The Doors, followed by an exclusive conversation with drummer John Densmore.
